Politics, Programming and Possibilities

After reading and later listening to a speech by Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, I felt for a brief moment a feeling that had lain dormant within me for a long time–a sense of the greatness of America’s foundation.
What inspired this “special comment” from Keith was a speech by Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, in which Rumsfeld implies that his administration’s critics suffer from “moral or intellectual confusion about who or what is right or wrong”.
In a truly inspiring turn-around, Keith warns of leaders like Rumsfeld who expect everyone to “fall in line” without thoughtful dissent.
Here is Keith’s speech, straight from YouTube.

Great speech, but he was a little too soft on Rumsfeld. I would have been tempted to make a comparison between Rumsfeld and the early Nazi party instead of with Chamberlain, but hey that’s just me
In case you haven’t noticed, we are facing a threat every bit as dangerous as the Nazi Fascists of WWII. We are technically in WWIII or WWIV depending on if you count the Cold War as WWIII. This war has been brewing for more then 30 years. Unfortunately, we are merely repeating the mistakes of pre-WWII all over again. The world continues to appease the enemy in a belief of moral equivalence and mutual understanding. We tried that with Hitler and it was an almost fatal mistake. The cost of that mistake was millions of lives over the course of the war. So while the EU nations continue to appease the enemy their population is being overrun by militant Islamo-Fascists in France, Germany, The Netherlands, UK, etc. Meanwhile, countries like Iran are building up their forces to attack a western society they view as weak and stupid. Osama Bin Laden stated that the moment he embarked on the WTC 9/11 attack plans was when Clinton pulled out of Somalia. He felt we were on the run and it was time to attack. I don’t know when it’s going to happen but there is going to be a very large worldwide conflict.
There are Islamo-Fascist terrorist attacks going on right now in this country. The most recent being the Afghan muslim who ran over 14 people with his Honda SUV in Seattle. The prior attack was the muslim who shot up a Jewish center. The student who drove a rented SUV onto a campus green and mowed down several students. Or in Iraq, the American muslim soldier who entered an officers tent and threw two grenades.
You can either choose to study history and open your eyes to what is happening or you can continue to blame the conservatives and the current administration. I am not a blind follower of Bush, I disagree with a great many of his policies. However, I will not elect a liberal democrat to national office, not when the national security of this country is at stake.
You can continue with your paranoid conspiracies about 9/11 and continue to believe that our own government was behind those planes hitting the WTC towers; but I don’t want to read about it anymore. I also don’t want to know about your political viewpoints. You of course are entitled to your opinion, this is America not Iran or China. You are also entitled to publish what you want on your own blog.
That’s all I’ve got to say… Your feed is now filtered to only include Ruby on Rails tags… I grow weary of your incessant paranoia…
