Are you sure you own these sites? This is a statement on the Libyan Spider site! So what if people who previously owned that domain re reg the domain before Jan?

“Current owners of .LY domains seeking renewal of their domains and .LY domains which expired after April 2004, when the .LY top level Registrar was changed from Lydomains.com to NIC.ly and the General Post and Telecommunications Company, can renew their domains at the price of 50 USD/year.

The deadline for renewing expired domain names at the previously paid price of 50 USD/year will be Jan.1.2007, after this date, if owners of expired domain names fail to pay the complete registration fees, then the domain names will be made public and must be registered at the current price of 149.50 USD/year.

I wanted to buy some domains, but when I was finishing checkout it said in the end that the sale is not allowed to my country.

You can guess that I’m probably from the only country not allowed to buy Lybian domains (hist: start with “Is”, ends with “rael”).

And it could be a real.ly great opportunity ;-(
