Politics, Programming and Possibilities

May I just say that I admire the people involved with Ron Paul’s campaign? I’m inspired by their patriotism and sense of responsibility for freedom—they take government into their own hands, the way the framers of the constitution intended.
I just recently found out about the We The People Foundation through some Ron Paul supporters. The foundation is fighting for your right to vote, and to have that vote counted in a transparent, open manner—not by an electronic voting machine. As a software engineer, I know how open to manipulation a computer can be, and I just feel so strongly that taking voting out of the hands of machines (and their potentially dishonest manufacturers) is the right thing to do. In the digital world, it’s just as easy to change a 1 to a 2 as it is to change a 1 to a 2,000,000. It’s a lot harder to do that with paper.
The We The People Foundation just filed suit with all 50 states to get this “effective vote” with a paper trail required by law. I’m excited for the effort and congratulate all those who’ve stood up to defend the basis of our republic. Good luck!
