Obama is corrupt. His real estate deals are entirely corrupt. It is a classic instance of personal gain for political favors. He shares the same views as the voters I despise most, who think America is a force of evil in the world and sympathize with terrorists. Yay, he's going to free the terrorists in GTMO! Yay! More rights for terrorists AND higher taxes for me! Yay! The terrorists are going to like us now! The oppressed women in the middle east will be FREE once he gives his speeches!

Dude, why didn't we think of this during the civil war, why'd we have to kill all those people? We could have just "expected greater cooperation" from the south. We could have "bombed" them with political rhetoric!

I'm putting my chips on McCain. Care to make a wager Duane? Anyone? I'll donate $50 to the charity of your choice if Obama wins. Here's my choice: http://www.wheelchairsforiraqikids.com/

I think it's good to skeptical of Obama, as no politician is perfect. Can he bring about change? We won't know unless he becomes President. I'll do my best by voting for him, but I'm not expecting miracles. I'll hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Here's a good article about Obama and his economic advisors:

I'm a realist about politics and politicians. I expect they will disappoint. I expect they will act out of political self-interest. Nevertheless, I not only support Obama, but I think there is at least a chance he can deliver on some of his promise. I say this because he seems to clearly understand who he is and what's important: us. Just don't put him on a pedestal because all he can do then is fall off.

BTW, I'd encourage you to read Marc Andreesen's endorsement: http://blog.pmarca.com/2008/03/an-hour-and-a-h.html

I'm sceptical of Obama because of the campaign contributions he has received. I forget the site but there is a site that shows where a candidate's contributes come from. It showed that the majority of Obama's contributions came from J.P. Morgan. This was a few months ago. I suspect it hasn't changed. I don't think you go from a first term senator to a presidential nominee without a little string pulling.

If Obama wins I will hope for the best and I will celebrate for one reason: The end of the 20 year reign of the Bush/Clinton regime.
